Communications Policy

The Cathedral Youth Ministry program communicates via text, call, email, and social media (Website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). We respect your right as a parent to deny Cathedral from being able to initiate contact with your child. However, if your child initiates contact with us, we cannot be held responsible. Cathedral follows all protocols and guidelines set forth by the Diocese of Lafayette in the Social Media Policy and Best Practices for Direct Contact with Minors. By acknowledging this policy, you are consenting for the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist and it's Youth Ministry Program to initiate contact with your child via text, call, email, and/or social media.

Photo/Video Waiver

I hereby grant permission to the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, its representatives, and employees the right to take photographs and videos of my child at any and all activities associated with Cathedral, to be used for promotional purposes. I authorize Cathedral to copyright, use, and publish the same in print and/or electronically. I further agree that the Cathedral may use such photographs and videos without restriction for advertising, trade, promotion, or any other lawful purposes.

Discipline Policy

Participants are expected to maintain a respectful, attentive attitude during all events and activities. If a participant is being rude, disrespectful, or is a disturbance to his/her peers, he/she will be disciplined accordingly. After the second offense, parents will be contacted by the Youth Director. Upon the third offense, student and parents will be required to meet with Fr. Arceneaux to discuss disciplinary action.
