FIRST PENANCE & FIRST HOLY COMMUNION SACRAMENTS
Saint John Cathedral registered parishioners with second grade children, who have been baptized into the Catholic faith, will be eligible to register their child to receive the Sacraments of First Penance and First Holy Communion at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist Church. Registration for these sacraments is required for all candidates. The Sacrament of First Holy Communion usually takes place a couple of weeks following Easter Sunday. Please note that children enrolled in Catholic schools will not receive these sacraments at school or with their class. It is Diocesan policy that our Catholic school students receive these sacraments in the church parish in which their family is registered.
